Blogs are something I have never been into until this past year. Having to create my own blog for class and having friends studying journalism at ASU is what formally introduced me to blogs.

The blogging world is wide and vast. Today you can literally find a blog on anything. There are fashion blogs, life advice blogs, cooking blogs, weight loss blogs. The list goes on forever. I personally enjoy fashion and food related blogs. Writing my own blog and reading my friends has made me appreciate the time and effort people put into them. It’s a little piece of yourself that you’re sharing with the world wide web.

One blog that I find very interesting and entertaining is YA SALAM (http://yasalam.co). It’s a fashion, lifestyle, and branding blog. Korin Avraham is the writer behind this blog. It is a casual/professional blog. Korin writes about her travels, and life style. She also writes about her personal fashion. She named her blog Ya Salam because that means “WOW” in arabic. It was a phrase her father would say whenever Korin was wearing something nice or said something smart. I enjoy this blog because it’s very personal but is also professional and well put together. You can really tell how much effort and time has been spent putting this blog together.

Another blog I like is Damn Delicious (http://damndelicious.net). This blog is written by Chungah, a home cook that writes about and shares easy fast delicious meals. I love this blog! A lot of food blogs I have looked at are to help you lose weight, or focus on “healthy” diets. I personally love good healthy food but I am not trying to lose weight so finding a food blog that just focuses on deliciousness was amazing. I would definitely try a majority of her recipes and I enjoy how personal her blog is. It has so many fun pictures and it just makes you want to get in the kitchen and cook.

Lastly I adore reading my friends blogs! My favorite is Taytime (https://taytime.com). My friend Taylor writes this personal blog. She is studying journalism and fashion at ASU. She is super enthusiastic about her writing, and I can just tell that she puts a lot of her heart into it. Her blog is very clean and aesthetic. She writes about fashion, photography, her friends, and her personal life. I just love it!
So ultimately I think blogs are great even though I’ve just started getting into them. I love seeing people use their creativity and how passionate they are about certain topics, and I think it's even more special when they share it with the world on a blog.

  1. Good organization in this post. Hyperlink the actual words you want readers to click on, the name of the blogs you discuss, for example, instead of putting hte URL in parentheses.
